Weightlifting: The goal within weightlifting is to get the mos weight from the ground to overhead,quickly and proper form.

Weightlifting classes focus on two Olympic lifting movements.

  • The Snatch: The more advanced & technical of two Olympic lifts. Its one explosive movement in which you pull the weight off the ground, drop under it into a overhead squat to catch the bar, then rise up to standing.

  • The Clean and Jerk: is actually a combination of two separate lifts, that together make up one Olympic lift. The clean involves pulling the weight off the ground and dropping bellow it in a front squat to catch the weight on the shoulders, then rise up to standing. Once standing, the jerk is initiated,pushing the bar overhead with split jerk or push/squat jerk to complete the lift.
